Did you know that the secret wedding of Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidecelli was not the first to transpire in showbiz world? Among the hidden marriages then occurred when famous couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo tied the marital knots on April 28, 2009 at the San Juan Nepumuceno Church, San Juan, Batangas.
It was a decision of the couple to have solemnity, no media circus that even press people were not informed. At that, wedding photos, videos for a while had been kept under wraps. Both had the benign words to the movie press for understanding. Privacy meant a lot for Judy and Ryan that the writers took in cognizance of respect.

Later, during the election time, Jeffrey who ran as Caloocan City councilor dropped by my place, with his dad. A contrite Jeffrey apologized for his rude behavior and for me to support him as politician wouldn’t cease.
A second occurrence in my path involved Judy’s manager the late Alfie Lorenzo. Albeit he was my pal, Alfie got enraged with me for reason unknown to me. Thus, when Judy assisted me during my term as president of Movie Writers, Press Photographers Association of the Philippines, he scolded her. On Nov. 15, 2012, Carmina Vilaroel and Zoren Legaspi exchanged marital vows at Fern brook Garden, New Alabang, Muntlnglupa in private. It was that day too Zoren offered a surprise marriage proposal to Carmina who nodded in glee yet teary-eyed. Subsequently, photos, video of their wedding were shown publicly amid the delight of those attached to the couple.
In passing, decades ago top songstress-actress Helen Gamboa eloped, did wed athlete-actor and singer-composer Tito Sotto sans the public’s knowledge.. Being a chum of Helen, this writer was one of the first to write about it. As it was, Tito chose to enter, be successful as a politician who’s now a senator, head of the Senate. Helen quit showbiz to stick as wife, mom to their kids.
Interestingly, Helen’s niece megastar Sharon Cuneta followed suit upon having a hidden wedding with Kiko Pangilinan ni Pasay City. In the vicinity of Tito, Kiko serves the country as Senator.
Daniel-Kathryn: To Follow Matteo-Sarah’s Path?
A source did hush-hush to me Daniel Padilla’s reply to his query if he and Kathryn Bernardo would follow Sarah Geronimo-Matteo Guidicelli’s path to have a secret wedding. Daniel didn’t dodge it cackled. “Di kami mangagaya sa iba. But honestly, we’ve no plan to marry at this time, especially both of us are excited doing thoroughly action project.”
Daniel refers to Pay Maya which is replete with stunts and goons, a TVC presentation. Incidentally, the pair works for the first time with veteran actor Rez Cortez who’s recently elected the new president of Movie Workers Welfare Foundation (Mowelfund), the Security Service System of showbiz world.
