Love Poems

Waiting

We are eagerly hoping to see our Big Day as the sunset sets in;

finding ourselves still waiting till the morning dawn greets us again.

Tra la la, la, we joyfully sing to ease the pain of waiting;

who knows, our Day is just around the corner.

While we are waiting, it’s not an idle thing; we are always in

a mood, in showing our love in so many ways and seasons.

Don’t be sad as you wait for me, My Darling; waiting is

a loving concern, we cannot stop the clock’s hands from turning

We cannot stop standing still while waiting; our love is at stake,

So, let’s stay closer till our Day gets nearer and nearer

There is no other way but to move forward as we wait;

Going backwards, or going right or left gets us to nowhere

Don’t ever get tired of waiting, if we ever get tired,

It means we are only resting but not giving up Darling.

It’s emotionally draining to wait and wait, but our hearts

are entwined forever, so be it, come what may, My Darling

Finding the lines for this poem is a real struggle, but everything is a cinch

when we find time to share what we think, know and feel.

While we patiently wait for Our Day, we will sing hundreds of songs, read hundreds of books and pen hundreds of poems because our life is our own body of literature.”

Our poem is short but long enough to remind us of our undying love;

May we never tire of loving, caring, and waiting until Our Day comes.

Regrets

In life, there are some regrets I cannot undo in my mind. Those regrets have remained a part of my life despite the passing of time.

Somehow, somewhere, I have realized my true feelings, and yet I cannot do anything about my regrets; I just let them flow like the waves of the sea, making turbulent feelings inside me.

Regrets are painful in many ways: feeling sorry that I could have done something beautiful, and yet I did not; I could have pursued my heart’s desires to the end, but I failed even to make the first move.

Oh, to my regrets, I could have loved you with all my heart and soul were it not for my failure to follow my dream and wish; oh, mea culpa.

Waiting is the only way to let my regrets fly away from my memory, hoping for my Beloved to return to me, into my loving arms again.

My regrets for not pursuing you, my Sweetheart, for not responding to your call to me, and for not paying attention to the beats of our hearts, I will forever suffer the consequences of indiscretion.
