Since the noon time TV show Eat Bulaga launched the contest for foreigners called You’re my Foreignoys and Foreignays it goes international. The tilt for 100% male, female foreigners who care for Pinoys and Phil culture trends worldwide. Families, relatives, friends of the contestants in various countries have eagerly watched Eat Bulaga, either in you tube or in Pinoy-friends’ home who have GMA-7 Pinoy TV .
With emphasis on their dancing or singing prowess in the talent portion, the Department of Tourism acknowledged Eat Bulaga’s contribution to enhance the country’s culture , a novelty in local TV, with a citation, plaque of appreciation which truly elated the show’s producers, cast and staff.
Beforehand, Eat Bulaga was the first local boob tube program with a franchise abroad , Eat Bulaga Indonesia which currently rates one of the top shows there, with Indonesian celebrities as its mainstays. How true that a certain group of showbiz authorities will conduct an investigation on the real results of the recent Star Awards? It was an aftermath of what veteran writer-PR man Joebert Sucaldito openly claimed that a vote buying ensued among the Philippine Movie Press club members which yearly hands the Star Awards.
In particular, Joebert mentioned in a chat with PMPC members prior to the award rites, they confirmed to him that Joel Torre would win the best actor trophy for On The Job while Gov. ER Ejercito (Boy Golden) placed second in the tally of votes. Admittedly, Joebert lobbied for ER’s victory being the second choice.
How disheartened Joebert that Vice Ganda was announced the winner for Bakla, Tomboy, Girl, Boy movie. According to Joebert, an insider at the Star Awards body told him there was a case of vote buying. The source revealed to him that someone from the PMPC group represented Vice Ganda who was in U.S. then. Allegedly convinced them of under the table deal which resulted to Vice Ganda’s winning the Actor of the Year trophy.
The spokesman of the Star Awards body retaliated by saying that Joebert’s a mere sour graper, one who couldn’t accept the fact that his alaga gov. ER lost, inspite of his massive campaign to all members of the body.

Based on record of actors from the late’40s and up to this date, Eddie is considered the most durable actor of all times. Albeit he’s near 90, Eddie remains active, plays major roles be it in TV or wide screen, still a health buff at that.

I was forced to file a libel case to protect my integrity as a writer.
For his compassion for the image of FAMAS body, Eddie advised me to take the matter out of court. “For the sake of FAMAS, maaayos naman ang differences. Why resort to it? After all, kaibigan mo rin ang denimanda mo.” Eddie rationalized. This resulted for the other officer to publicly apologize which I accepted, withdrew my libel case.
In the recent years, Eddie’s recognized abroad in world film fests either as strong contender or a best actor winner. The latest was in Bwakaw where he emerged best actor in Asian, European Film Festivals. These days, Eddie plays major roles in TV series from the Kapamilya network, notably Honesto.

Now, Richard joins the members of the Phil Volleyball team at the Asian Men’ s Club. The winning country competes for the world Volleyball to be held in Brazil in May 2014.
