Convenient connections to 55 points via Philippine Airlines

When Philippine Airlines (PAL) starts its thrice-weekly Toronto-Manila service on November 30, 2012, not only will residents of Canada’s largest city have a direct link to the Philippine capital, but also convenient connections to 32 domestic and 26 international destinations.
PAL’s Toronto flights – the Philippine flag carrier’s first foray to North America’s East Coast since 1997 – will allow more than 250,000 Filipinos in greater Toronto to spend the coming holidays in their home province or connect conveniently to favorite Southeast Asian holiday destinations like Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Bali, and many others.
PAL passengers will arrive in Manila refreshed just before 6 AM, in time for their connecting flights to various regional and domestic points.
From Manila, PAL flies five times a day to Hong Kong, thrice daily to Singapore, twice a day to Bangkok and Seoul (South Korea), once a day to Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam), twice a week to Bali (Indonesia) and many more regional routes.
Aside from multiple daily flights from Manila to domestic destinations like Cebu, Davao, Bacolod, Iloilo and other key cities, PAL’s code-share partner Airphil Express can bring Toronto holiday seekers to favorite spots like Boracay, voted as one of the best beaches in the world, Puerto Princesa for the underground river experience, Cagayan de Oro’s white-water rapids, or Busuanga’s wildlife reserve and more.
Starting November 30, PAL will fly from Toronto to Manila, via Vancouver, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, using the ultra-modern Boeing 777-300ER.
PAL’s fourth long-range B777-300ER was delivered November 7 direct from Boeing’s facility in Seattle, Washington. The last two will join PAL’s fleet of 41 jet aircraft next year.
The luxurious B777-300ER, with two huge GE 90-115BL engines – the largest and most powerful ever built – can cover the 13,230 kilometers between Manila and Toronto in about 15 hours non-stop. The B777 seats 42 in Mabuhay and 328 in Fiesta (Economy).
Inside PAL’s B777, passengers will experience its signature inflight service featuring well-appointed Recaro seats that recline up to full-flat in Mabuhay (Business) class; a fully digital inflight entertainment system with audio-video on-demand capability; and gourmet cuisine from top international guest chefs.
PAL first flew to Vancouver, Canada on September 1996. Today, PAL flies to Vancouver enroute to Las Vegas.
The new Toronto service will have the daily Manila-Vancouver flights reduced to four times a week, alternating with the three-times-a-week Manila-Toronto.
On the return journey, Vancouver-Manila will be four times a week along with a shared service from Toronto three times weekly.
The new Toronto service kicks off the peak Christmas travel season, one of the busiest periods in the Philippine travel calendar. Toronto will become PAL’s 27th international destination.
