A Service for Unplanned Pregnancy

By | November 25, 2021

Each year hundreds of women in Toronto will make a difficult decision about an unplanned pregnancy. They will either choose to have a baby, place their child for adoption, or have an abortion. Some will be well supported by family and friends, but many, feeling alone, and overwhelmed will believe they have no other choice but to terminate their pregnancy even if that is not what they really want to do. Knowing that a pregnancy will soon be obvious to everyone there is a lot of stress in those initial days of the pregnancy.

The Pregnancy Care Centre exists to provide compassionate community support to women and families facing an unexpected pregnancy so that they can thrive without seeing abortion as their only option. The Pregnancy Care Centre provides free and confidential services in a compassionate, no pressure, and non-judgmental environment. Their services include urine-based pregnancy tests, pregnancy and options information, abortion information, community referrals, medical referrals, material support, and post- abortion support.  The Pregnancy Care Centre is not an abortion clinic and does not perform any medical procedures.

If you are in the process of decision making and are not yet certain about resources that are available to you, make an appointment at a convenient time for you at any of their locations throughout Toronto. They have clinics in North York, Scarborough, and downtown Toronto. Visit their website at iamnotalone.ca to learn more about their services.
