PlantCatching: Share Your Plants

You certainly have some mature plants in your home or garden to divide, or one plant that you would like to replace with something new, so one of the first things you can do is donate your plant or share some cuttings or seeds. The easiest and convenient way to do this is to take a picture of your plant and post it on the PlantCatching website.

PlantCatching is a free platform that aims to link amateur and professional gardeners where they can anonymously share or donate, not only plants and produce, but other gardening materials as well like soil, compost, rocks, containers, and other things that could be used in gardening. You can actually use the website without signing in, but if you register, it will allow you to enjoy other perks such as finding local gardeners and getting updated on the community events.

Sharing through this platform is easy and there are three ways to do it. After adding your listings on the website, you leave your plant or other item in front of your home or at an authorized public space and attach a label printed from the website. You can also place your item somewhere on your property, out of sight from passerby, and your listing must clearly indicate where it is hidden. The last option is to meet the other party in person.

If you have a user account, you will be able to add a few requests as well. You can list the plants or gardening materials that you would like to acquire so other users can see existing demands, which includes your request.
