This month of September, over 9 million Jehovah’s Witnesses are launching a special campaign worldwide to share with the people the Bible-based solutions to end wars and other violent conflicts we see happening in various parts of the world today.
Millions of copies of the Special edition of this Bible-based Watchtower magazine, entitled ” An End to War– How?” are now being handed down to people who are willing to know how our God Jehovah will finally put an end to these wars which are wreaking havoc on the lives of millions of people throughout the world.
This worldwide campaign is timely because these days, we often read and watch in some newspapers and TV reports about the ongoing conflicts in the Russia-Ukraine war, Israeli-Palestinian warfare, and the Sudan’s civil war.
In a statement, “Byron Piteg, a spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses, said, “We live in a time where violent conflicts, even large-scale wars, are surging. We believe that this magazine will bring hope not only to the millions of people suffering from the violence that war inflicts but also to anyone who is searching for peace in their life.”
The concise but comprehensive magazine covers topics such as:

“Perhaps the most intriguing subject covered in the magazine is the comforting answer to the question: Will we ever see a time when there is no more war?
“The solution, which goes back to a simple statement that Jesus’ made in the familiar model prayer, sometimes called the Lord’s Prayer, will especially resonate with those who have been waiting for governments to bring about change,” Piteg said.
During the month-long campaign, the Witnesses will also invite community members to a special talk with the same theme as the featured magazine. The 30-minute discourse is open to the public and will be presented worldwide at their places of worship, called Kingdom Halls. No collections are ever taken at any of the non-profit’s events.
“We invite all to attend,” Piteg said. “For many, what they will hear will not only be comforting but also life-changing.”

This special edition of this Bible-based Watchtower magazine is not only an interesting read but also spiritually uplifting because, in reading the cited scriptures in various discussions of topics, we will feel as if our God Jehovah himself is the one giving the answers to questions lingering on our minds.
At times, we wonder why world leaders, the United Nations and even some sincere political leaders have failed in their attempts to resolve these wars. These governments have utilized all available means at their disposal, including billions of dollars for economic development, diplomacy, and disarmament, to resolve conflicts, but to no avail.
But when we read the scriptures in Jeremiah 10:23, it seems like Jehovah is saying to us, “It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step”. In short, God did not create us to rule ourselves.
Seeing all these wars all around us these days, we understand better when we read about the prophecy that we are living in the Last Days, as shown in Matthew 24:6,7 that says “You are going to hear wars and reports of wars…. For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom”.

The end of this world’s conflicts is not in the hands of human governments; it is Jehovah Himself who will bring an end to all these conflicts by replacing all these human governments with God’s Kingdom. (Daniel 2:44). This is the Kingdom Jesus taught his followers to pray for. (Matthew 6:9, 10)
About the topic “How War and Violent Conflict Will End”, the magazine says.” God will end human governments by means of what the Bible calls the war of Armageddon(Rev.16:16). At that time, “the kings of the entire inhabited earth will be gathered together for “the war of the great day of God the Almighty. (Rev.16:14) Armageddon is God’s war to end all wars”.
“People will enjoy ideal living conditions under God’s government. It will eliminate the problems that cause people to fight, such as poverty, hunger, and inadequate housing. Everyone will have access to an abundance of nutritious food and will enjoy a comfortable place to live—Psalms 72:16: Isaiah 65:21-23.”***********
